Wedding website ideas:
Palm Springs info to include? Really loved this one from a client’s website!
“It is argued that without Hollywood, there would be no Palm Springs as we know it today. You will feel the history in the air as you stay, play, dine, & shop in a city founded on sunshine and pool parties.
Palm Springs has long been Hollywood's desert playground for celebrities to relax and escape from the hustle and bustle of showbiz. The legendary "Two-Hour Rule" of Hollywood studios put Palm Springs on the map in the 1920s as a perfect getaway. Actors under contract had to be available within two-hours from the studio just in case last minute film/photo shoots had to occur. Famous residents with Palm Springs hideaways included: Albert Einstein, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., Bob Hope, Bing Crosby, Kirk Douglas and Cary Grant. Famous ladies that frequently visited, included Marilyn Monroe, Dinah Shore, Lily Tomlin and Elizabeth Taylor.
Greater Palm Springs produces more than 80 percent of dates in the United States, making the region our nation’s Date Capital.
Palm Springs also showcases the nation’s highest concentration of mid-century modernist architecture. So many mid-century modern homes are built around the pool, and by 1955, Palm Springs already had 900 swimming pools within its city limits. Today, there are some 40,000 pools within the city limits, which amounts to about one pool for every year-round resident (in the winter, the population doubles as snowbirds fly in for the season).
We can't wait to see you in March!”
This same couple also named their Travel and Accommodations tab “T&A” = love it!
